New York State Anarchist & Anti-Authoritarian Meeting & Networking Session, Jan 20, Binghamton, New York - Sub-regional gathering of the North East Anarchist Network during the Northeast Unconventional Action Convergence
The Syracuse Solidarity Network invites anarchists and anti-authoritarians across New York State to a sub-regional gathering of the North East Anarchist Network during the northeast Unconventional Action convergence in Binghamton, NY on January 19th to 21st 2008.
Join us for an open, short, and informal networking session January 20th, Saturday evening to compliment the organizing against the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. We'll discuss the emerging North East Anarchist Network, share our local projects, and brainstorm ways we can strengthen our movements across New York State. While we're focusing on where we live, we invite others to use the space for networking with people from their area.
We encourage people to share:
-Reports, fliers, newsletters, resources, etc on what local groups, projects and campaigns you're involved with, what groups are active and where struggles
are at in your town or city
-Histories of resistance from your area of New York State
-Creative ideas about what has worked and what hasn't
-Brainstorming for next steps we can take towards more mutual aid and solidarity between Upstate movements in general and holding another New York State convergence of anarchists and anti-authoritarians in particular
*Please bring some money if you can as we pass a hat to benefit legal defense for the Morristown 3, members of Anti Racist Action who were attacked by a white upremacist and arrested after allegedly defending themselves in New Jersey. For more info: ttp://www.myspace.com/Morristown3
