5th Anniversary of the War
Continued resistance in cities across the country calling for an end to the war and no business as usual! Look for something going on locally, and add your area's event in the comments section!
Events in the Northeast:
Syracuse, NY, 12pm - organized by the Syracuse Peace Council - Boycott work and school, and show creative resistance to the war in downtown Syracuse including puppets and focus on players in the war game (media, banks, corporations, recruiting centers, etc.). www.peacecouncil.net
Pittsburgh, PA, 6pm - organized by the Pittsburgh Organizing Group - Join POG to show that there is dissent at home, and there is a common humanity that binds the people of the United States and Iraq—the desire to create and sustain a new world based on mutual understanding and solidarity. www.organizepittsburgh.org
