Coalition for Immokalee Workers coming to CT
The Coalition for Immokalee Workers is a labor group organizing with farm workers in Immokalee, Florida. Subway has recently signed an agreement with the CIW. Read about it at http://www.ciw-online.org/
They are doing a speaking tour as part of their campaign and will be speaking about their campaign on Sunday evening at the Elm CIty infoshop in New Haven CT (810 State St. New Haven, CT 06511).
Right after we'll be showing a documentary "The Gleaners and I" which is about gleaners--people who pick through harvested fields for food.

ps-They will also be speaking at Yale University on Monday. Check the CIW website for more info on that.
